Dravite), and quartz, self collected from Powers Farm, Pierrepont, NY. The tourmaline from Powers Farm is a non-prismatic variety, which means it grows in a blocky and compact form that resembles a garnet, but is tourmaline. In this cluster, black tourmaline crystals have intergrown with rough quartz with a slight reddish hue. The black crystals really stand out against the quartz! The black tourmaline is deeply shaded, organic, raw, and displays gemmy faces. This specimen has a jagged and aesthetic appearance--I love the sculptural lines and eye-catching edges!
