Pair of French Bronze Chenets (ACW60009)

Pair of Bronze Front Renaissance Style Chenets, French c. 1850 Each is in the form of a tapering standard with an elaborate male figurehead, the body of which forms a caduceus, centered with a grape leaf, and terminating in a lion’s paw. The uprights are mounted on elaborate arched bases with paw feet, featuring scrolled molding and centered with a crowned feminine masque.
