Mimulus 'Changling', Changling Monkey Flower

Common Name: Bush Monkey Flower A shrub that grows up to five feet tall and wide.  Red, white, cream, orange, and yellow flowers bloom winter through summer- the stigmas are sensitive and will close after they are touched.   It has green sticky leaves.  It is normal for the plant to go dormant and drop it's leaves in a summer dry garden.  It is recommended to  pinch back new growth in spring to maintain a compact form and deadhead to increase flower production. - Plant in full sun to part shade - Tolerates most soils - Water once a month after the first year - Great companion plant under evergreen oaks - Heat tolerant - Hardy up to 15 degrees   - Attracts hummingbirds, birds, bees, and butterflies - Deer resistant - Native to California
