Areca Palm- Dypsis lutescens (Pet Friendly)

Areca Palm (Dypsis lutescens), is an “entry level” palm that has dense upright foliage.  GENERAL CARE:  These palms prefer bright, indirect light and lightly moist soil, with a brief period of dry out between watering. It is also best to avoid watering with water high in salts and chemicals, using purified water or a water conditioner prior to application helps avoid brown tips. Pot up in a well-draining soil, so water can move quickly through and not sit for prolonged periods.  Dust the leaves periodically and keep an eye out for pests including spider mites.
