However, this A caliper variant is anything but common. If you've got a Porsche 912E, you know they're full of weird quirks with the the brakes being one of them. During the beginning of the 912E's run, they used non-spaced M calipers on 3" spacing front struts. Once they ran out of M caliper castings and 3" struts, they started adding the brand new A caliper from the incoming 911 SC, with new 3.5" struts.
