Art Deco Era OMC Diamond Engagement Ring with Orchids in 18k Gold

An Art Deco era engagement ring, modeled in 18k white gold, by the well-known jewelry house Belais. This ring is styled with a unique, paneled, East/West, lozenge-shaped head— the ring head features charming, floral, openwork decor, and the flowers depicted here are orchids! Because orchids are associated with fertility and sexuality, they were once considered a somewhat naughty floral gesture— it is uncommon to see them gracing the shoulders of rings from this period.
