Art Deco Scales Charm with Pearl Weights

A dainty, vintage, articulated charm, modeled in 14k yellow gold, to resemble a pair of balance scales, with white, cultured-pearl weights. These tiny scales have pans that tip up and down, thanks to a beautifully-made, riveted apex that connects the scale's pillar and beam. This is a wondrous little object and it is beautifully made! The balance scale was called libra by the Romans— these miniature scales might signify the astrological sign Libra, or they might represent the scales of justice. This is marked 14k for purity.
