3.5" Mahogany Green Slate/Glass Friction Call

This is a 3.5" Green color slate surface over a glass sound board in a Mahogany wood pot call. Slate calls are the most poplar calls used on spring turkey hunts. Color slate is a bit different from their cousin the Gray slate. I have color slate surfaced calls in the following slate colors Green, Red, and Purple. Colored slate is a harder surface than the gray slate. I place it somewhere between a glass surface and a gray slate surface. The colored slate play well and make some great turkey sounds. Nice sharp breaking sounds. Raspyness can be added by a change up of striker woods. Birds respond well to the sounds this call makes also. Handcrafted striker and call bag are included.
