This badger taxidermy class is suitable for taxidermy beginners; however, best for students with experience in taxidermy and will be taught by the Prey Team at Prey Taxidermy, in Los Angeles, California. In this badger taxidermy class, you will use a commercial taxidermy form, create lead ear liners, shape noses, set eyes, tuck eyelids, tuck mouth, and practice working on reading reference to create a beautiful badger specimen. Students will choose pose preferences in class based on available skins. Badgers are known for their dexterous paws, long claws for digging and being besties with coyotes. Understanding their anatomy and character is vital to a successful badger taxidermy piece. We will work with badger specimens that have been skinned, prepped, and tanned to our standards. Badger specimens are incredibly difficult to come by, so when we saw the opportunity to snatch up enough skins for class, we had to take it.
