First we want to make sure you are getting the exact machine you are looking for.  If you are looking for a currency discriminator that will "read" the actual bill denomination and give you an amount total then consider the Semacon S2200 or the Semacon S-2500.  An example would be you run a $1,$5,$10 and you will get an amount total of $16.  Also these units can let you know if say you have a $1 in a batch of $20 to help in balancing.The S-1600V Series only allows you to pre-select the denomination that you will be counting and it will calculate the total based on your manual input.  It does not actually determine the denomination of the bill.That said the S1625V is a great currency counter if bill denomination detection is not a requirement for your application!
