The Cross is the most important symbol of the Christian faith because it represents the message that is at the heart of the gospel, without which there would be no Christianity at all. The gospel in a nutshell is that Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay for our sins (John 3:16). The cross is central in that message. To emphasize the "Glory of the Lord" as described in Psalm 8 as well as an ever-present reminder of the extraordinary sacrifice of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I have embedded a somewhat subtle but visible Cross within this photo.
