~30 - 35 lbs Fuzzy Squash aka "Fuzzy Melon", "Hairy Gourd", "Moqua", "Mao-Gua", "毛瓜" Fuzzy squash is a gourd that looks like zucchini but fatter. The green skin is covered with fine white hairs and tiny pale green specks. Fuzzy squash has a mild, sweet flavor and white flesh. As the fuzzy squash matures, the flesh loses its sweet flavor. Fuzzy melon is used in a number of dishes such as soup, stir-fry, and stuffed. The skin needs to be removed before using and removing the seeds is optional. Handling Tip Selection Fuzzy squash is firm with no bruises or soft spots. The smaller size is generally more tender and sweeter. Storage Fuzzy squash should be stored at 45°F - 50°F (7°C - 10°C) with a relative humidity of eighty-five to ninety-five percent and no mist. The typical shelf life is one to two weeks.
