SNOWPEA TIPS (PREORDER)
~10 - 15 lbs Snowpea Tips aka "Snow Pea Leaves", "Snow Pea Shoot", "Dou-Miao", "豆苗" The Snowpea tip is a leafy green with oval-shaped leaves and thin green stalks. It is generally two to six inches long with two to four pairs of leaves. The taste resembles snow peas, but with a grassier, fresher flavor. Snow pea tip is most often stir-fried with garlic. Handling Tip Selection The leaves have a uniform green color with no signs of yellowing or wilting. Few to no curly tendrils and no signs of flowers. Storage Snowpea tips should be stored at 32°F - 34°F (0°C - 1°C) with a relative humidity of ninety-eight to hundred percent. The typical shelf life is five to seven days. Snow pea tip is sensitive to ethylene, a naturally occurring gas that regulates ripening. Do not store snow pea tips with high ethylene-producing products to extend shelf life and avoid leaf yellowing. Snowpea tip produces a low level of ethylene. Snowpea tip is not sensitive to chilling injury and should be stored
