Pinguicula cyclosecta {Dulces Nombres, Nuevo León}

Pinguicula cyclosecta is a perennial heterophyllous species, producing summer rosettes of (6-12) carnivorous leaves and winter rosettes of (35-80) succulent leaves. Pinguicula cyclosecta is the smallest of the orchid flowered butterworts. The epithet, cyclosecta, is derived from the Latin cyclus (circle, wheel) and sectionem (a cutting, division or part), as a reference of the circular outline of the corolla.   The plants on the pictures are representative, you will get a similar plant. Please note that some plants are greener than others but will turn dark/purplish with time under intense light. The plants are shipped bare root in a plastic container to protect the plants.
