Iberis sempervirens 'Tahoe' has clusters of pure white flowers blooming about 2 weeks earlier than Iberis 'Snowflake'. This plant (common name Candytuft) has dark green foliage that forms well-branched, compact mounds. The plant has a woody interior and is semi-evergreen in colder climates and evergreen in warmer climates. Iberis 'Tahoe' works great as an edger or crevice filler due to its spilling effect. It is attractive to butterflies and deer resistant. 'Tahoe' prefers full sun to light shade and well-drained soil. This plant resents "wet feet" and can tolerate coastal conditions and drought. Some afternoon shade is appreciated in hot climates.
