Antique Repousse Flower Frog

A delightful small silverplate dish adorned with a brass flower frog top. This charming piece was crafted in Italy, showcasing the fine art of repousse, a technique where the metal is skillfully hammered from the back to form an intricate designs. The repousse design consists of trailing roses.  Use it as a decoration or fill it with shortened  rose stems or other flowers while adding water to the bottom to create a bouquet style arrangement.  Sits on 3 delicate rose and paw feet. There is some tarnish on the top flower frog lid from use,  otherwise excellent antique condition. 3.4” x 4”
