Hybrid LED: Morimoto has spec’d a combination of PC, Aluminum, and Ceramic for the Hybrid series (thus the name) – where each serves the most appropriate purpose. The PC lens is an effective diffuser for the light. The Aluminum mid-section houses the LED PCB, and the Ceramic base dissipates heat more effectively than other materials, which improves reliability.
