My reference was the crimson roses in  the vase in front of me. The World Wide Web reminds me of PERFECTLY curated Xanga backgrounds with Weezer music, a Furby that started talking in my friends closet during a sleepover, and eating my weight in bagel bites after school. When was a kid waiting for the dial-up to connect, the loading icon in the center seemed to never end. By the time the page loaded, it was time to let my brother play Rollercoaster Tycoon since we shared one computer in the house...
