This design features two classic scenes from Tampopo, a Japanese "Ramen Western": one featuring a sensual scene from a vignette of two lovers passing an egg yolk between their mouths, and the other, the moment Tampopo herself implores the mysterious road-warrior-ramen-guru to stay behind and show her where her attempts at the beloved dish have gone astray and turn her rugged little shop into a proper noodle house. There are so many amazing characters and moments that give tribute to the love of food, but this design is an ode to the movie itself. The vignettes sprinkled throughout it provide a spectrum of odes to food and our collective relationship to nourishment, care, simplicity, delicateness and dedication while commenting on sex, class, etiquette, and taste.
