We bought this from a wholesale jewelry maker in India, who called this stone Kammererite, which sounds like someone stuttering to me. Kammererite is a rare chromium-rich variety of Clinochlore and member of the Chlorite family. And if that makes as little sense to you as it does me, its a green stone that forms purple crystals. The bezel is marked 925 for Sterling Silver open back setting which saves everyone money on silver, including you. The bezel is a smooth polished sterling holding a 32.17 carat cabochon.
