E0010 - Argentium Silver Pendant with Plume Agate
The pendant is made of Argentium Silver, From our stock of cabochons, we selected a 25 x 18 mm oval Plume Agate to set in this pendant. Agate is very hard (and hard on our equipment too). I had a friend at Yucaipa Valley Gem and Mineral Society who identified this stone as Plume Agate. The components (bezel, jump ring and bail) were purchased from our US supplier of Argentium who claims they are 93.5% pure silver. The pieces are marked AS925 and we can guess that the AS stands for Argentium Silver, but then that is just a guess and we wait for the supplier's explanation for why they chose not to hallmark the items 935.
