We purchased this ring from a wholesale manufacturer in India claiming the stone was 12.60 carats of "Solitaire Dinosaur Bone Fossilized". I'm not certain, but I suspect the stone is a fabricated composite. The stone is teardrop shaped. There are a couple of pot marks in the stone surface. These were because of gas pockets within the stone. The ring is marked 925 for Sterling Silver. It has a smooth bezel setting and shank. We needed to do a little smoothing inside the shank where it attached to the setting bezel.
