Knit Basics - Knit & Purl Class - 1/25/2025

Learn the basics of knitting! I knit continental, so that is what I teach.  That means I hold the yarn in my left hand and "pick" the yarn rather than holding yarn in my right hand and "throwing".  I can demonstrate "throwing" the yarn English style, but when I am knitting, it will be continental. Masks are required for in-person meetings. In this class, we will go over the basics of the knit and purl stitches. Class will take place Saturday January 25th @11AM.  Class will involve you learning and then trying out knit and purl stitches on different samples.  Samples will be worsted and larger yarn with medium to larger needles. If you would like materials to start your own project or would like to take a project worked on during class home, those will be available for purchase.  If your minds are ready for more, we can also go over long tail cast on and a typical bind off.
