Late last year, we took that commitment a step further, partnering with Cosecha Traders to help fund materials for new drying beds on his farm. Finca Las Brisas came into Hector’s hands when his father divided his land equally among his sons, each receiving a single hectare to manage. Instead of replanting with newer varieties, Hector chose to preserve the Caturra and Común trees his father had planted 50 years earlier. His farm’s unique altitude and micro-climate have helped protect these trees from common threats like leaf rust and coffee borer, allowing him to continue producing exceptional coffee.
