The belts are flexible, but they will not stretch with a strong, reinforced backing. The belts are designed to resist loading and heat build-up to extend the lifespan of the belt. All of our surface conditioning file belts are hand built in the USA. There is no grit rating for non-woven belts, but each belt will produce a scratch pattern consistent with certain grit sizes.
