Sneezeweed, despite its unfortunate name, is not known to trigger allergies, as its pollen is sticky and therefore dispersed by insects and not by the wind. Fun-fact: its petals were historically dried, ground, and inhaled as snuff to trigger sneezing. We don’t recommend that, but we do recommend adding this lovely plant to your home garden! Its numerous, yellow flowers bear pale, wedge-shaped petals that grow downward from prominent, globe-like centers. Puts on a late season show in the sunny, wet-soiled garden, providing a valuable nectar source at a time when most plants have finished blooming. Host plant for the Dainty Sulphur butterfly. Deadhead if self-seeding is unwanted. Can benefit from pruning early in the growing season to prevent flopping.  Sun: Full, Partial Soil: Wet, Medium-Wet Bloom Time: August, September, October Color: Yellow Height: 4 ft
