They are the ultimate scavenger and will eat any leftover food it can get it's claws on.  They are known for their appetite for bubble algae but will eat hair and other types of macroalgae as well.  They are nocturnal and will hide during the day until comfortable with their surroundings when they might venture out in search of food in the daytime.  They have been known to helping themselves to some soft corals and invertebrates when hungry.  We recommend adding in a supplemental diet of dried algae and meaty foods when there is a lack in the aquarium.  Invertebrates can be more sensitive to parameter changes than fish or coral.  High nitrate leve
