Horseshoe Crab - Limulus polyphemus

Horseshoe Crabs (actually not a true crab and are more closely related to spiders) are a very good addition and adapt well to a reef that utilizes a sand bed.  These interesting creatures do a really great job as a sand stirrer feeding upon detritus.  We find these in very shallow water where they emerge for only an hour or so per day to feed.  The rest of their time is spent buried within an inch or so of mud or sand hiding from various predator's such as small sharks and rays. Note - We can not ship this item to Pennsylvania.
