Made in New York, this painting shows an inevitable evolution in Mondrian's work. Mondria eliminates the black from the composition in favor of the yellow lines welcoming portions of red, blue, and white. This work testifies to the artist's fascination with the theme of the city, but also to the energy of the rhythms. While being based on the right angle, the colors come alive as if under the action of frenzied music.
