Epipedobates anthonyi 'ankas'

These small dart frogs are from Ecuador. The females are somewhat shy but the males will pick a high spot in the terrarium to make its cricket-like call to attract a female.  They don't need a large enclosure but be sure to have smooth leafed plants or film canisters available for egg deposition sites if you intend to breed them. We also recommend keeping a water dish for the male to deposit the tadpoles in.  The male frog with his entire back covered in tadpoles is a sight to see!  The frogs available are 6+ months out of the water and feeding on vitamin dusted melanogaster and hydei.    These frogs can only ship on mondays.
