HO Brass Sunset Models D&SL - Denver & Salt Lake 2-8-2 Mikado with Feed Water Heater POSSIBLE PILOT MODEL

Sunset Models imported model built by Samhongsa in Korea. NOT: This is a possible pilot model. What appears to be an Overland Models box shows minimal shelf wear. Box label says "Sample model #1 of 2, 1979." Model is a D&RGW K-63. "Samhongsa Korea- Sunset Order". Spare parts are included. Brutish look with the big coffin feedwater heater on the front of the smokebox. Rounded stack hood included in spare parts bag for buyer to re-attach if they want it on the model. These were D&SL 2-8-2's that went to the D&RGW in 1947 as a result of the D&SL/Rio Grande merger, and classified as K-63. Note: Model appears to have been modified with a FWH assembly after import - see photos.
