Sapim Laser double butted spokes

Sapim's super light stainless steel butted spokes have two major benefits - less weight and more strength. Technological advances using cold forging "stretch" the spoke, retaining the linear molecular structure of the material and increasing the spoke strength at the middle by at least 48%. The very thin 1.5mm middle section requires finesse and special care while building up a wheel, and has a tendency to "wind up" during tensioning & truing. Because of this, building wheels using these spokes should be left to experienced wheel builders. Available in 250-310mm custom cut & threaded lengths, rounded to the nearest whole number (no decimals). Threads are rolled, not cut, using exactly the same process as a spoke factory. We also offer uncut 270mm and 310mm blank spokes without threads, if you're not sure of the length you need and you or your wheelbuilder have the ability to cut and thread them (270mm can be cut down to 240mm, 310mm can be cut as short as 275mm).
