Glühwein Soy Wax Candle - German Christmas Candles - Christmas Mulled Wine Candle Simple red wine transforms into glühwein when infused with cinnamon sticks, star anise, slices of orange, lemon, and apple, and served hot in the cold of winter.  The bright flavors can create a glowing effect for the drinker (glühwein translates to glow wine) and this mimics that effect with its vibrant scent and glowing light. Pronounced glue-vine. Many Christmas customs that we enjoy today in the United States were brought over by German immigrants. The Christmas tree, gingerbread houses, carols like O Christmas Tree (O Tannenbaum) and Silent Night (Stille Nacht), advent calendars, and even Santa Claus have German roots.  Each candle in this collection features an original fragrance blend I created to honor the foods, drink, and merriment of the holiday that my Swabian and Bavarian ancestors enjoyed, and that I continue to celebrate today.
