Chilopsis linearis 'Burgundy' (Burgundy Desert Willow)

Full sun; little-moderate water. Grows to 15-30 ft tall, 10-20 ft wide; grows fast at first, then slows. With age, develops shaggy bark and twisting trunks. Narrow, willow-type leaves 2-5 in. long. Deep purplish red flowers. Spring to fall, produces fragrant trumpet-shaped blossoms with crimped lobes, blooms are like small cattleya orchids and attract hummingbirds.
