This 2004 commemorative Thomas Edison coin is a philadelphia mint coin. The obverse of this coin presents Thomas Alva Edison holding an experimental light bulb in his labatory with "Liberty" and "Thomas Alva Edison" above with "In God We Trust" and "2004" and "P" mint mark on either side designed by Donna Weaver. The reverse of the coin has rays of light radiating from an 1879 light bulb with "125th anniversary of the lightbulb" above and the dates "1879" and "2004" with "United States of America" "One Dollar" "E Pluribus Unum" below designed by John Mercanti. This coin also comes with a collective case and a certificate of authenticity signed by Henrietta Holsman Fore, Director United States Mint.
