24" x 12" | Acrylic I heard the voice of a young boy being interviewed on the radio. He was confined to a refugee camp in Syria and had been there much of his life. The place was described as a dusty, dirty place, surrounded by a wire fence. "It's been so long since I've seen a flower." he said. His statement burned an image in my mind that I wanted to paint. When will the children of the world no longer suffer for the decisions of the adults?
