Roadrunner Ceramics presents Techniques in Raku Date:  Jan 6 - Feb 24, 2025 Time:  Monday 9:30 am to 12:30 pm Location:  Roadrunner Ceramics / 12747 Cimarron Path / San Antonio, TX  78249 Cost:  $325 plus materials (clay, hand tools) Learn the basics of ceramics with a twist this spring in a fun 8week class for beginning students.  Adult students will learn in a supportive small class setting with instruction from our teaching artist, Scott Beatty.  Use the potter’s wheel to create beautiful, useful art and learn to decorate, glaze and fire your work using a variety of Raku techniques.  You’ll create one or more finished, glazed pieces. Scott Beatty has been creating pottery seriously for five years.  A veteran of the army, he served as a Spanish translator.  He is a graduate of the University of Texas with degrees in economics, history, and applied mathematics, and worked as a high school math teacher and chess coach for 15 years.  He has worked as a studio tech at Alamo City Potte
