President Lyndon B. Johnson (LBJ) was elected as the 36th President of the United States (1963-1969) on Air Force One an hour after President John F. Kennedy was assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald on November 22nd, 1963. During LBJ's presidency, he succeeded in domestic policies, such as Civil Rights, Public Broadcasting, Medicare, and Medicaid. But when it came to foreign policy, he deepened our nation into the first war lost by the United States, the Vietnam War. Protesters outside the White House would infamously chant, "Hey LBJ, how many kids did you kill today?" The Johnson Hostility Board was able to help relieve some stress among the American people in a way that left their aggression indoors instead of having it be exposed publicly.
