Harald Nielsen for Georg Jensen Denmark Sterling Silver Earrings - Pierced with Nuts | Moonlight Grapes Design #40

Dating to the 1960s or so, may I offer this pair of Georg Jensen Denmark Sterling Silver (hallmarked as pictured) Midnight Grape earrings - Design #40 by Harald Nielsen for the company. The earrings appear to be a repaired set as the post is attached to a cup rather than the post being soldered directly to the earring back. Length of the earrings is 1-3/4"; width is 9/16". Combined weight of the pair is 11.4 grams. While the earring nuts are not original to the pair, they are nicely sized and hold the earrings nicely on the ear. Vintage patina to the silver along with just a bit of polish residue left in the nooks and crannies from my light wipe. Condition is very fine with no dents/dings, etc - solid earrings. Just a beautiful statement design from a Danish Master Craftsman. Priced with the conversion in mind.(ry)
