ON RESERVE - Antique German 800 Silver Rococo Fantasy Ostritch-Harnessed Carriage Driven by Cupid

ON RESERVE - Marked DEPOSE 800 and made in Germany (possibly France), may I offer this stunning antique centerpiece to any table. A Cupid - Putti - Cherub sits in the drivers seat of a candy - nut - sweetmeat holding carriage all the while steering an ostritch. The entire piece is soldered together and is quite rigid - the twisted wire "reins" can be positioned any which way you desire, it's thin wire that can be bent to the touch. Length is about 8"; width at the back of the carriage is about 2-1/2". Height is about 4-3/4" high at the ostritch head. Weight is 340 grams. Condition is wonderful with no problems I can spot - no dents/dings, no repairs though there is what appears t be an airhole in the head of the angel. One wheel moves, the other doesn't. Stunning depiction of the "North Wind" to the back of the carriage. There's more of a "gray" tone to the silver that a shiny, bright silver.
