Coming from the late 1930s/early 1940s, here's a little something Joan Crawford might have worn. From the coveted retro era of jewelry, may I offer this pair of 14K Rose Gold (hallmarked on post as shown) earrings (posts with clip back "omega like" mechanisms. In a true "left and right" wave-like/bow-like design, the gemstones include white diamonds and perfectly matched synthetic rubies (original and totally period appropriate to the earrings), Measuring a large 1-5/16" high x 1" wide, combined weight of the pair is 15.7 grams. Each earring holds 7 diamonds (J-K color, SI2 clarity) and 5 pinkish red rubies - all in white gold or platinum. To the best of my ability, gemstone weight is 1 round diamond at 3.5mm (17 points), 6 diamonds at 2mm (3 points) and 5 rubies at 2.2mm (4 points); total gemstone weight for the pair is 1.10CT TW.
