The Shigar Valley has been the source of some amazing quality Aquamarine specimens, found in various pegmatites throughout the area. This piece a sharp, glassy, gemmy, soft blue color, hexagonal, doubly-terminated, stout, prismatic crystal of Aquamarine with minor crystals of white bladed Albite and prismatic, translucent, hexagonal crystals of Quartz on the upper portion. I can see a few scattered bladed silvery Muscovite crystals on the back of the piece as well.
