2018 Aline Beauné Bourgogne Aligoté

As the winemaker of a fancy Burgundy producer, Château de la Crée, for 15 years, Aline established herself as a top-tier winemaker in CôteChalonnaise. In 2018, when the lease expired on 5 hectares of primevineyards in the commune of Saint-Vallerin, she jumped at the chanceto strike out on her own and took over the vines. The previous tenantshad been farming responsibly, but Aline knew she could do better. She immediately transitioned to organic farming, and now also implements biodynamic treatments for vine health.The 5 hectares that got Aline her independent start are planted withfour varietals, including Aligoté.  While everyone knows Burgundy forth
