2019 Nue Wilde Rosé of Pinot Noir

Region: Russian River Valley < CA Grapes: Pinot Noir Vineyard/Cellar Stats: Organic farming, direct press; aged in neutraloak barrels; bottled unfined/unfiltered with 20ppm added So2; 20cases; 13.9% ABV Winemaker: Ben HerodNue Wilde is the new project from our friend Ben, formerly of Oro enPaz.  He's sourcing fruit from organic vineyards and making wine in anold-school, hands off fashion.  Like this gorgeous rosé, which is theMolly Ringwald of wine -- pretty in pink, through and through.  Thecolor is pure ballerina pink, the package elegant and old school, thesmell, pure joy in the form of watermelon Jolly Rancher.   It's roundand lush on the palate, with a decadent blend of watermelon,strawberry custard, salted caramel and lemon zest.   He only made 20cases, we got 1/4 of his production, and it'll be gone quickly -- sograb more now if you're digging it.
