Region: Applegate Valley > Oregon Grapes: 74% Riesling, 16% Vermentino, 10% Viognier Vineyard/Cellar Stats: Certified regenerative organic (2020) and Demeter-certified biodynamic (2018), heavy focus on regenerative agriculture; each variety was vinified separately and spent about 3 weeks on skins. The lots were then blended and the wine aged in neutral French oak for six months; bottled unfined/unfiltered with zero added So2; 12.8% ABV Winemaker: Nate Wall The owners of Troon like orange wines, so they've been experimenting with their own version using all estate fruit, hence Kubli Bench (the geologic formation the winery and vineyards are situated upon). Here Riesling, Vermentino and a touch of Viognier get 14 to 21 days of skin contact each in the varietally separate fermentations. They blend the final wine and rest it in quite old French oak barrels. While it's a good amount of time on skins, it doesn't get tannic, making an aromatic elixir that's more like orange-wine lite.  The
