Learn to Skate Class/Open Skate 2025

If you or your child is new to our Learn to Skate Class program, please first fill out our information form to tell us a little about yourself and/or your child! Thank you! Learn how to skate safely under the direction of a SkateIA certified instructor, who can notice things about your technique that you may not notice when learning on your own. Get better, faster, while safely having fun! These skate classes are perfect for beginners five years old and older. For the first lesson, we will go over the basics of skating: how to properly fall to avoid injury, and how to get back up again; movement & transitions (starting, stopping, skating forward, turns, to make sure that your fundamentals and technique are good); weight transfer (skate to skate, inside to outside, front to back); and begin focusing on skating goals that you want to achieve.
