Reheating Instructions for Roots Food Already Fully Cooked and Chilled (PDF HERE) Chilled foods are best if eaten within 4 days but can be frozen.  To maintain quality, it is recommended to consume Frozen items within 3 months. Overall, we recommend using an oven to heat our foods.  Items packaged in our black boxes need to have the lid removed before baking.  The black box is oven safe; the lid is not. Place your food in 350oF oven for approximately 15-20 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 165oF.  Foods will heat more evenly and quickly if spread out.
