Old Carter Straight Bourbon Whiskey - Batch 4 116.8 Proof (750ml)

The Carter’s took a unique approach with the fourth batch release. The 2020 Batch 4 release is an 11-year old product that was sourced from MGP. Most interestingly, this is the first high-rye blend the Carter’s have released. This batch yielded 1997 bottles of bourbon that were bottled at 116.8 proof. Total of 1997 bottles produced, it was released on April 2020. ABV: 58.4% Color: Dark Amber  Nose: Notes of ethanol, corn, vanilla, and oak were initially present. After some time in the glass, notes of caramel and butterscotch candy began to appear. Palate: The first sip had a medium viscosity that was accompanied by intense spice and heat. The second sip elicited a mouth-drying effect that transitioned into notes of pepper, rye spice, and oak. The third sip revealed notes of oak and SPICE.
