Towards New Frontiers! (1961) Soviet Propaganda Poster

(Russian: К новым рубежам!) is a 1961 Soviet propaganda poster by Alexander Dobrov (Russian: Александр Добров). In the top right of the poster you can see a rocket with the name Vostok (Восток) on it. The Vostok rocket was the spacecraft that took Yuri Gagarin - the first man in space - to the cosmos on April 12, 1961. This poster was published soon after the Gagarin circumnavigation of the globe and conveys the message that the Soviet people as a whole are part of this journey towards new frontiers. On the left side of the picture are the roman numerals for the number 22.
