Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, Alsta was known for producing beautifully engineered wristwatches designed to withstand the elements. One of its most iconic models is the Alsta Nautoscaph, a similar model famously worn by Richard Dreyfuss in the 1975 film Jaws. This early example of the Nautoscaph also known as the "999" since its waterproof to 30 ATM, often referred to as the original "Jaws Watch," features a stainless steel bezel and is powered by the reliable Felsa 4007N automatic movement. First introduced in the 1960s, the Nautoscaph earned its place as a cult classic among vintage dive watches with a beautiful set of hands and huge crown, we only decided to curate this watch since its probably the best example ever found, full lume, unpolished and with a crisp movement. This watches are often in terrible condition since the bezels are brass plated.
